ولكن نقل الرحيباني في مطالب أولى النهى (١/٨٦) كلام ابن دقيق العيد، فكأنه لم يوافق ما قاله ابن بطة ومن تبعه. وقال ابن عثيمين في الشرح الممتع (١/١٧٦): وهذا لو صح فيه الحديث لقلنا به وعلى العين والرأس، فربما يكون سببا لشفاء العين ونحن لا ندركه، لكن الحديث لا يثبت عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، انتهى۔
